The Walking Dead Season 3 Update!

The third season of "The Walking Dead" started filming last week so I found it fitting to post some news about the upcoming season which will premier in October.

So in the 3rd season of  "The Walking Dead" we will be treated to a 16 episodes which is a few more episodes than last season. Seven actors are returning from the season 2. Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes), Sarah Wayne Callies (Lori Grimes, Rick's wife and Carl's mother), Laurie Holden (Andrea), Steven Yeun (Glenn), Chandler Riggs (Carl Grimes, Rick and Lori's son), Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon),  Lauren Cohan (Maggie Greene, Hershel's  oldest daughter and Glenn's girl).

Several recurring cast members are also set to return. Melissa McBride (Carol Peletier), IronE (Theodore "T-Dog" Douglas), Scott Wilson (Hershel Greene), Emily Kinney (Beth Greene, Hershel's emotionally troubled youngest daughter),  Michael Rooker (Merle Dixon, who had gone missing in the middle of the first season and is Daryl's brother).

There are also two new cast members have been added to the third season. David Morrissey (The Governor, a major antagonist in the comic series) and Danai Gurira (Michonne, the hooded figure that saves Andrea in the season two finale and a prominently featured character in the comic series).

  1. Ok, so now they're going to introduce a real kick-axx character, who happens to be "black" you go girl!.. Anyway, I love this show, it grew on me and now I'm hooked along with a little irritation. 1. by now they all know what they're up against, why are they whining and moaning about living a normal life, come on kill the zombies off first!... 2. Lori I CAN'T STAND HER CHARACTER!. Either evolve her into a Ripley/Laura Croft type character or kill her off. Instead of having her continue to be the "uppity better than everyone else supportive suburban housewife" have her cut her hair, strap on a bullet belt, several guns and a knife, strap her son (Carl) to her back backwards, put a machete in his hands and go kill the zombies, for Christ sakes!.

    3. DO NOT EVER KILL DARRYL OFF. 4. Give T-Dog more substance, he's a big strong man, he can be and do more then just sit in the cut waiting for instructions. 5. Andrea? Are you down with the group or not? you started evolving her into a gun toting kick but character, then she goes back to being the cynical I hate all of you pain in the axx, keep her out of the script for a while, better yet let her have a love interest with “Merle” (who I can’t wait to see again). 6. The woman who lost her daughter (I can't remember her name) but, I like her, keep her just the way she is, she's stronger without a gun (if that makes sense), plus Darryl’s got her covered, also, she can use other things as weapons (big rock, knife, legs of a chair, etc...) Just when you think she's a goner, she picks something up and kills the zombie.

    7. Rick, he's the man!. 8. Shane, I'm going to miss ya, I loved Shane, yes he was a tough, forceful SOB, but he made the show interesting and charged, he had some good ideas but, like I said; Rick is the man. 9. Glenn, the girl and vet daddy are fine the way they are, for now.

Now about the feel of the show; it started out like a combination of Dawn of The Dead and I am Legend all on one but now, it feels more like the series Jericho, which was good, but lost its luster. Those are my comments
